Exeter-based Nexus Open Systems has unveiled an array of new developments that mark a significant evolution in its offering.

Over the past few years, the company has raised its credentials by achieving both ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications.

And the team have this week unveiled an array of new developments that mark a significant evolution in their offering.

From welcoming skilled new team members to creating roles dedicated to proactive technical alignment and risk mitigation, Nexus has refined its approach to meet the needs of businesses across the South West and beyond.

As part of the process Nexus has updated its strapline from “Your IT Experts” to “Your IT Partner.” This change reflects their dedication to nurturing collaborative relationships with clients, ensuring they work together as partners to achieve business goals.

Nexus has also named Josh Bradley as its new Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO). With 14 years of experience in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) sector, Josh brings a wealth of strategic and technical knowledge to the team. In his role, he will work closely with clients to align IT strategies with their business objectives, ensuring technology is not just a support function but a driving force for growth and efficiency.

Josh’s consultative approach means he will help clients develop robust IT roadmaps, anticipate future needs, and leverage the latest technology solutions. For businesses looking to streamline their operations and get ahead of the competition, Josh’s expertise will be invaluable.

Another appointment sees Tom Le join Nexus as the new Central Support Specialist. His role is focused on proactively enhancing and maintaining the technical elements of the company's managed service portfolio, helping to improve efficiency and accuracy across its support offerings.

Tom will proactively manage remote monitoring solutions, fine-tuning them to boost client infrastructure performance and availability. He’s also responsible for improving workflows by identifying and automating manual processes where possible, ensuring smoother operations for both Nexus and its clients. Additionally, Tom will oversee software patching and maintenance, ensuring that clients’ systems are up-to-date, secure, and compliant with standards like Cyber Essentials and ISO27001.

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, Nexus has also seconded four existing IT engineers into new roles as Technical Alignment Managers (TAMs). These specialists will work closely with clients to bring their IT infrastructure up to a defined standard, focusing on efficiency, stability, and cybersecurity.

TAMs will regularly attend client sites, conducting in-depth technical assessments to identify and resolve any gaps or vulnerabilities. This hands-on approach ensures that clients’ IT environments are secure, reliable, and running at peak performance. The role is all about consistency – making sure every client benefits from the same high standards of IT support and ongoing improvement.

Alongside these new roles, Nexus has unveiled redesigned IT support service packages, which replace previous offerings and reflect a new level of service driven by client demand for greater value and improved ROI.
