Free recruitment advice workshop

The event is open to SMEs, start-ups and entrepreneurs

Businesses in Exeter, East Devon and Mid Devon who are looking to hire someone new or take on an apprentice are being invited to a free advice workshop.

The Employing People for the First Time and the Power of Apprenticeships event takes place on March 21, 10am to 2pm, at Petroc in Tiverton.

The event is designed to help businesses understand all of the things they need to consider when taking on a new employee or apprentice.

It includes advice on how to avoid common mistakes, how to attract recruits and understanding the legal obligations to employees.

The event will feature workshops and talks with practical advice and information from:

  • Business Information Point (BIP) – Employing people for the first time workshop
  • Prosper – Free further support for your business
  • Free Networking lunch
  • Other Guest Speakers
  • Q&A and networking

The event is free, but booking is essential. Open to SMEs, start-ups and entrepreneurs in Exeter, East Devon and Mid Devon. Booking is limited to two persons per business.

The workshop is delivered by Business Information Point in partnership with Prosper and the local authorities of Exeter City Council, East Devon and Mid Devon District Councils.

The event is at the Business Innovation Hub at Petroc in Tiverton, with car parking on site.
