November issue OUT NOW!

Welcome to our November issue of Exeter Living!

The creative and entrepreneurial spirit in Devon runs deep. Beneath the surface lies a wealth of talent - makers, artists, and dreamers quietly shaping something special. In this issue, we meet some of them. There’s the couple who upped sticks, bought a farm near Poppleford, and - as newbie farmers - began growing tea. And writer-photographer Suzy Bennett tells us about her new book Artisans of Dartmoor, which shines a light on blacksmiths, basketmakers, potters, plant dyers, woodturners and weavers - all creating beautiful work amid the moor’s wooded valleys and wild open skies. As Suzy notes, it’s no small feat to make a living as a maker in the modern world. Yet Dartmoor stands as a beacon of creativity - proof that craftsmanship and imagination still thrive here. We’re lucky to have them on our doorstep.

Elsewhere in this issue, the festivities begin. From Christmas lights and markets to the best places for your seasonal party, we’ve got plenty to get you into the spirit - plus part one of our all-singing, all-dancing Christmas Gift Guide.

There’s plenty of outdoorsy inspiration too: Simone Talfourd shares her favourite spots for bracing winter walks, while Harry Hook discovers an outdoor (yet snug) dining experience – trust us, you'll definitely want to visit after reading this one. And we hear from the heroes at St Petrock’s, who are working tirelessly to support Exeter’s most vulnerable this season.

You can read the issue online here.

Alternatively, pick up a copy in Exeter - we have stands in Hyde & Seek, John Lewis, Artigiano, and Sacred Grounds.

Enjoy!
