Exeter restaurant to host ‘Wicked’-inspired musical evening this November

The Ivy Exeter will be embracing a touch of theatrical magic this autumn with a live musical evening inspired by Wicked and The Wizard of Oz.

On Thursday, 20 November, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, the restaurant will present A Night at The Musicals: A Wicked Special, featuring live performances from a vocal duo performing well-known songs from both productions. The event aims to bring a taste of the West End to Exeter, blending dining with live entertainment.

Alongside the music, guests can enjoy themed cocktails and a special seasonal menu. A highlight of the offering is The Emerald City Apple, a limited-edition dessert available from 25 October to 2 November. The dish features a chilled apple parfait set on a golden blondie base, topped with milk foam, raspberry coulis, and finished with a decorative green witch’s hand and candy floss.

Guests can also expect two new limited-edition cocktails, each designed to capture the spirit of the occasion. The first, Rhubarb Bubble, combines Ketel One vodka, Rhubarb Mead, and Doppelgänger Aperitivo with a hint of vanilla. It’s finished with raspberry sugar dust, offering a balance of tart and sweet flavours.

The second, Emerald Magic Margarita, mixes Casamigos tequila with Beesou Honey Liqueur, matcha cold brew, lime, and geranium syrup. A Tajín rim adds a gentle heat to the drink, giving it a distinctive seasonal twist.
