Bestselling author, YouTuber and stand-up mathematician Matt Parker is bringing his brand-new UK tour Getting Triggy With It to Exeter Corn Exchange on Thursday 16 October 2025.
Famed for making numbers hilarious, Parker’s latest live show explores the magic of trigonometry, artificial intelligence and all things maths-related — with plenty of miscalculations and audience interaction along the way.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 30 May via exetercornexchange.co.uk.
Following a stint at the Edinburgh Fringe, Getting Triggy With It accompanies Parker’s newest book Love Triangle: The Life-Changing Magic of Trigonometry, out in paperback this June. As well as tales of viral code crashes and crowd-sourced chaos, the tour promises live maths, problem-solving, and a reminder that numbers are more entertaining than most people realise.
“There’s no privacy when I try my best,” jokes Parker, whose DIY Christmas light coding video has racked up over 11 million views - not for its success, but for how spectacularly it went wrong.
A former maths teacher turned internet sensation, Parker has over 1.3 million subscribers on YouTube and regular appearances on BBC Radio 4 and Discovery Channel’s Outrageous Acts of Science. He previously toured with Humble Pi, one of the best-reviewed comedy shows of the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe.
Exeter is one of several stops on the 2025 tour, which also includes venues in London, Birmingham, Hove and Swindon.
For those keen to embrace their inner nerd, or simply enjoy a smart night out with laughs, this show offers a perfect equation.
