JUNE issue out now!

Welcome to our June issue! With sunny days upon us, we’re taking life outside this month – from cocktails on terraces to swims in wild waters. In our food pages, you’ll find inspiration for every kind of summer gathering, whether you’re hitting the pool party at Lympstone Manor or picking up fresh produce at Exeter’s brand-new farmers' market, set against the striking backdrop of a moored sailing boat. We’ve got cocktail recipes perfect for garden parties, a first look at Exeter’s latest opening, Arcadia ( thank you Harry Hook), and a round-up of the best post-work drink spots where you can toast the season in style – think sun-drenched terraces and hidden garden courtyards.

The outdoor theme continues with a refreshing dive into South Devon’s open water swimming scene, alongside a fashion edit featuring swimsuits made for sea dips and summer dresses ready for anything from beach brunches to countryside strolls. And if you’re dreaming of a summer escape, we’ve tracked down some of the West Country’s most unique getaways – including, yes, a stay in a fabulously retro 1970s converted bus.

Naturally, we’ve also made space for a generous dose of culture. This month, Art Week Exeter takes over the city, and we’ve got the low-down on the must-see exhibitions, pop-up installations, and playful events (look out for the art quiz). We’re also excited to spotlight a vibrant new homegrown production of Romeo and Juliet, reimagined with a talented local cast. And finally, we sit down with New Zealand’s comedy great Rhys Darby to talk about life on tour, laughter, and everything in between. Cheers to the summer!
