MAY issue is out now!

Welcome to our May issue! We kick things off with the Devon County Show, taking place on 16-18 May. This glorious celebration of rural living in Devon is for so many people their highlight of the year. With over 2000 animals descending on the event (hats off to the team in charge of logistics!)visitors can once again ooh and ahh at everything from dog shows to showjumping, pig and sheep judging to  a mesmerising performance by Ben Atkinson and his Atkinson Action Horses. The guest list of furry creatures this year even includes alpacas and tarantulas! The event is also a thriving food festival, and a mecca for gardening, craft, and tractor enthusiasts. Even if you don’t consider yourself a true country mouse, the Devon County Show has become a great place to catch up with good friends and raise a pint (of cider, of course) to this beautiful county we’re so lucky to live in. Turn to page 10 for our ultimate guide to the big weekend.

Elsewhere in this issue, we look ahead to the colourful, community-led Exeter Pride (page 21); go in search of the best cup of tea in Exeter (page 31); and we head south to Torquay to uncover a thriving culture scene and some hardcore rockstars (page 53).
