Notworking Networking Brings Its 20th High-Energy Networking Event to Torbay
Torbay’s business community is set for a fresh, fun and refreshingly different networking experience as Notworking Networking makes its Torquay debut with its 20th landmark event on Friday 27th February at the Arena Torquay — and it promises to be anything but ordinary.
Sponsored by Datel Electrical, this special launch event marks the first time Notworking Networking has come to the Bay, following growing demand from local businesses eager to experience the regionally popular, no-pressure networking format.
Designed for real conversations rather than rehearsed sales pitches, Notworking Networking has built a reputation for creating relaxed, high-energy events where genuine collaboration thrives and business relationships grow naturally.
More than 100 business people are expected to attend — from entrepreneurs and start-ups to established companies and community leaders — reflecting the strength and growing momentum of Torbay’s collaborative business scene.

A Networking Event — Without the Networking Nerves
Notworking Networking flips the traditional format on its head. There are no awkward forced introductions and — most importantly — there is a firm and famous “no pitching rule.” The focus is on people first, business second.
To make the event accessible to everyone, including first-timers and nervous networkers, the afternoon begins with the popular NW Preamble session at 2.30pm, hosted by Han and Tabs, offering a friendly warm-up before the main event begins.

What Attendees Can Expect
Guests can look forward to a lively, welcoming atmosphere packed with extras, including:
Adding further inspiration to the afternoon, keynote guest Charlie Flounders will share a powerful and uplifting story about how losing an eye gave her a new perspective and greater vision — both personally and professionally. Her talk is expected to be one of the standout moments of the event.

Celebrating Torbay’s Growing Collaboration Culture
The arrival of Notworking Networking highlights the continued growth of Torbay’s business ecosystem, where collaboration, creativity and community are increasingly driving success. With more cross-sector partnerships forming across the Bay, events like this reflect a shift toward more human, supportive and relationship-led business development.
Organisers say the Torquay launch is just the beginning, with strong interest already building for future events in the area.
Businesses across Torbay are encouraged to attend, connect, collaborate — and enjoy networking like never before.
Go on — treat future you.
