A splash of success for Torbay’s first waterpark Christmas market

Torbay’s first Christmas Market in a waterpark has been hailed a festive success.

Splashdown Quaywest’s market weekend and then fabulous December weather brought out a steady stream of visitors to Goodrington seafront with visitors enjoying the festive atmosphere, quality craft and gift stalls and all kinds of tasty treats. 

Visitors could also enjoy performers from the Cameron Mills Group who provided the entertainment for the weekend.

Jackie Richmond, group marketing director and waterpark co-owner, said: “Our team worked so hard to deliver the Christmas Market and we were blown away by the amount of people that came out to support the event. It made every minute that goes into this kind of thing worthwhile; we have had some lovely comments from visitors and stallholders.

“I was here myself on Saturday, we had people in and out all day long and it became really magical at dusk when the lights came on. It's a great space for an event and this has given us the confidence to maybe try something else later in the year too.”
