An investigation has been launched after break-ins at five construction sites in the Barnstaple area overnight on Wednesday, November 12.
Police said the suspects broke locks, used metal grinders, broke through fences and stole items such as brass fittings, generators, copper pipe, disc cutters, drills, batteries, jigsaws and rip saws.
The reports are thought to be linked and police say the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who is in the building trade or runs a construction site is asked to keep an eye out for anyone offering ‘cheap’ tools for sale.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the Devon and Cornwall Police website or by calling 101, quoting 50250292261.
