1. CHRISTMAS AT THE CASTLE

On now until 24 December

Explore Powderham Castle and its grounds as they’re transformed for the season with twinkling lights, festive displays and Christmas music. Each room and pathway is beautifully dressed. Got the kids with you? Opt for the Winter Garden with Father Christmas experience. 

2. MAGDALEN ROAD CHRISTMAS FAIR

6 December

From 2–6pm, Magdalen Road will be filled with entertainment, music and festive fun. Independent shops and visiting traders will line the street with stalls offering gifts, food, drink and more.

3. STEVE KNIGHTLEY & THE WINTER YEARDS BAND 

6 December

Steve Knightley - West Country singer, songwriter and one half of long-standing folk duo Show of Hands - will be performing at Exeter Corn Exchange. The show starts at 7.30pm.

4. THE WINTER COLLECTIVE

On now until 31 December

This joyful exhibition at The Brownston Gallery in Modbury brings together work by the gallery’s resident artists, including paintings, prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics and jewellery. It’s a visual celebration of creativity and community - and a great place to find gifts. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–5pm.

 

5. SANTA RUN

7 September 

Exeter city centre will be taken over by a sea of Santas this Sunday for Exeter City Community Trust’s annual Santa Run. The fun starts at 9am in Princesshay - grab your Santa suit, trainers, friends, family and even the dog. Choose from a 2.5k fun run or the 5k challenge and raise money for a great cause.
