FESTIVE: EXETER CATHEDRAL CHRISTMAS MARKET 

20 November – 19 December

Enjoy more than a hundred festive chalets offering local gifts, global street food, seasonal entertainment and cosy festive bars. Wander among the twinkling lights, nap some Christmas gifts, and soak up the atmosphere at the Cathedral Green.

FAMILY: BIRD RAVE

22 November

Bird Rave is a family-friendly project celebrating extraordinary birds, natural movement and the joy of classic rave culture. Families begin with creative activities, making bird headdresses and trying out bird-inspired crafts before some gentle spotting. Children can then ‘take flight’, joining dancing birds for a playful performance and an interactive rave dance workshop. 10.30am–12.30pm at RAMM. £5 a ticket.

FAMILY: GLOW AT RHS ROSEMOOR

21 November – 30 December

The gardens at RHS Rosemoor are set to become a glowing winter wonderland, transformed by an after-dark trail of colour and light. Follow the illuminated route through atmospheric installations, leading to the arboretum where vibrant displays and harlequin trees create a magical scene. 4.30pm to 8.30pm, last entry 7.15pm.

MUSIC: NIALL MCNAMEE

22 November

Niall McNamee is a singer-songwriter blending Celtic post-punk spirit with a fresh alt-rock edge. His sound draws on influences from Shane McGowan to Dolores O’Riordan, Chris Martin and Alex Turner. Catch him at Exeter Phoenix at 7pm. Tickets £15.

FILM: WICKED: FOR GOOD

22–23 November

The global cinematic sensation continues with the epic conclusion to the untold story of the witches of Oz. Directed again by Jon M. Chu and starring returning leads Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, this final chapter follows Elphaba and Glinda as they confront the emotional consequences of their choices. Various times at Exeter Picturehouse.
