Things start to look festive in Exeter this week! Check out these top five recommendations for what to do this weekend in and around the city. 

FESTIVE: 14 November – 23 December

Christmashay Village The festive season arrives in Princesshay this week! With 17 Christmas cabins located in Princesshay Square, Bedford Street, and the main mall, the village offers an eclectic mix of gifts. The Mistletoe Bar, located in Princesshay Square next to the centre’s Christmas tree, is the perfect pitstop - enjoy festive street food including churros, bratwurst, and Yorkshire pudding wraps. Oh, and the Christmas lights will be switched on this Friday!

FOOD: 15–16 November

Christmas Food Festival Head to Darts Farm near Topsham from 10am for the Christmas Food Festival - a day of festive tastings and Christmas gifting! Expect samples from local producers such as Barbuoy Cocktails, Sharpham Cheese, and Cow & Cacao Chocolatier.Free entry, opens at 10am.

MARKET: 15 November

Exeter Quayside Farmers’ Market 9am-1pm, every 3rd Saturday of the month at Piazza Terracina, Exeter Quayside. Browse around 30 local traders offering incredible food produce and gifts.

ART: 15 November 2025 – 31 January 2026

Sarah Ryder: Multiferals A solo exhibition of convention-defying abstract paintings by Sarah Ryder. Ryder transforms catering-grade cooking foil into colourful, sculptural painting surfaces - alive with folds, creases, and form. Delicate yet bold, her works blur the lines between painting and sculpture, both playful and political. 10am-5.30pm at Exeter Phoenix.

MUSIC: 15 November

Devon Philharmonic Orchestra Autumn Concert Join the Devon Philharmonic Orchestra for their Autumn Concert in the nave of Exeter Cathedral. Conducted by Leo Geyer, the performance will feature works by Rachmaninov, Glinka, and Tchaikovsky.7.30pm start.
