BUDLEIGH MUSIC FESTIVAL

27 June - 5 July

The festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary in style, bringing world-class classical music to the coastal town of Budleigh Salterton. This year’s line-up includes celebrated pianist Sir Stephen Hough, the London African Gospel Choir, The Band of HM Royal Marines Plymouth, plus Sir Michael Morpurgo and cellist Clare O’Connell performing his version of The Carnival of the Animals. A choral workshop is planned for the opening day, with participants performing that evening alongside the Festival’s Children’s Choir. 

PARTY AT THE PARK

28 June

Exeter City Football Club’s annual celebration, Party at the Park, returns to Exeter City this Saturday. Taking place at St James Park, the event is free to attend, open to all, and will raise funds for the Exeter City Community Fund, supporting regional and international charities.

The party kicks off at 11am (gates open at 10.30am) and promises a full day of family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and community spirit. Expect fun and games, food and drink, live music, and player experiences throughout the day. Young fans will even have the opportunity to train with the Women’s team on the inflatable pitch at 1pm. 

JAZZ ON THE QUAY

29 June

Soak up the summer vibes with live jazz by the water on Exeter’s historic Quayside. These free sessions begin on Sunday, 29 June, and continue every Sunday in July, through to 31 August (except 27 July). This Sunday, gypsy jazz and swing band La View en Rose will be performing. Head to the Transit Shed from 12.30–3.30pm.

THE MAGIC FLUTE 

29 June

Join The Bluebirds Theatre Company for their dynamic production of The Magic Flute. Meet a cast of amazing opera singers and life-sized puppets for a flight of imagination, touring the South West this summer. Bring a trolley, a picnic, a cushion or chair – and prepare for a feast of entertainment. 7pm start at Powderham Castle.

RACHEL FAIRBURN - SIDE EYE 

29 June

Co-host of the international smash-hit podcast All Killa No Filla, and as seen on Live at the Apollo (BBC Two) and Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC Two), comedian Rachel Fairburn will be taking to the stage this Sunday at Exeter Phoenix at 7:30pm.
