Pom Stitch Tassel, founded in 2017 by Emma Rendell, is a vibrant craft enterprise located at 53 Fore Street, Bovey Tracey. Emma's passion for pom-pom crafting led her to establish a space where creativity flourishes, offering a range of handmade craft kits, engaging workshops, and sewing clubs for all ages. The shop is a treasure trove of activity packs, puzzles, stationery, and unique gifts, making it a go-to destination for craft enthusiasts.
In line with their commitment to fostering creativity, Pom Stitch Tassel is hosting an array of 'Eggstravagant' Easter workshops during the school holidays. These sessions cater to various age groups and skill levels, providing opportunities for children and families to engage in fun, hands-on crafting activities.
Running across both weeks of the school holidays, the schedule includes sewing clubs, Easter wreath making and block printing – with a touch of Easter magic throughout.
Things get off to a chirpy start on Tuesday 8 April with the Sew a Chick Softie workshop for ages 7+, followed by the popular Craft & Cuppa drop-in session on Wednesday 9 April.
Artist Helen Leslie Illustration joins the fun on Thursday 10 April to guide little crafters in making mini Easter wreaths.
The creativity continues into week two, with Sew a Boxed Bag on Tuesday 15 April – perfect for young stitchers looking to level up their sewing machine skills.
The Craft & Cuppa returns on Wednesday, and Thursday’s session finishes the fortnight with block printing and painting Easter egg decorations using beautifully carved Indian blocks.
Workshops are designed for a range of age groups, with Craft & Cuppa sessions suitable for ages 2+ and plenty on offer for older children looking to get hands-on with fabrics, threads and paint.
Spaces are limited and booking is essential – though drop-ins may be accommodated if there's room on the day.
