CELEBRATING MOTHER’S DAY AT THE IVY 

The Ivy Exeter is celebrating mums and mother figures with a special two-course (£28.95) or three-course (£34.95) set menu. Alternatively, guests can opt for The Ivy’s Afternoon Tea, with an option to add Champagne (£87.50 for two). Guests dining on the Mother’s Day set menu will also receive a bunch of tulips.

HALDON FOREST PARK

With the weather warming up, Haldon Forest Park (open daily from 7am to 9pm) is the perfect spot for a weekend adventure. Visitors can explore walking and cycling trails for all abilities, tackle the Go Ape treetop rope course, enjoy the play areas, and take part in the Wallace & Gromit trail.

SOUTH WEST ACADEMY SPRING EXHIBITION

Head to The Brownston Gallery in Modbury for the annual Spring exhibition. The artists being shown are Ray Balkwill, Sam Boughton, Ken Cosgrove, Phil Creek, Jo Dixon, Karen Popham, and Rebecca Barnard. Expect work inspired and influenced by living and working in the South West. Open 10am-5pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

THE RONNIE SCOTT'S JAZZ CLUB: THE RONNIE SCOTT STORY

Direct from London’s world-famous jazz club, this production combines world class live jazz, narration and rare archive photos and video footage covering the venue's incredible 65-year history, alongside tales of old Soho, miscreant musicians and police raids. 7.30pm start at Exeter Northcott Theatre.

BISHOP'S OPEN GARDEN

The Bishop’s Palace garden, one of Exeter’s best-kept secrets, spans three historic acres. Nestled between the old Roman bank, city wall, and Cathedral, it offers a haven of peace in the city. The garden will be open to visitors from 2pm-4.30pm. Tea/coffee and hot cross buns will be served in the Palace Porch.
