ETO – Judith Weir: Blond Eckbert & Do Not Take My Story For A Fairytale

The English Touring Company present Judith Weir’s Blond Eckbert, based on Ludwig Tieck’s supernatural tale, follows a couple whose secluded life unravels as dark secrets emerge. This will be performed alongside Do not take my story for a fairytale, a collection of Romantic-era music exploring love, isolation, and nature’s mystery, it features works by Beethoven, and Haydn.

Dr John Cooper Clarke - 50 Years in Showbiz 

The cult poet, TV and radio presenter, and cultural commentator John Cooper Clarke will be performing at Exeter Corn Exchange. Expect a mix of classic verse, new material, hilarious ponderings on modern life, good honest gags, riffs and chat - a chance to witness a living legend at the top of his game.
