Top musicians will be descending on the town of Budleigh Salterton for this celebration of classical music. Expect everything from choral concerts to gypsy jazz, plus lots of family friendly events.

Get yourself down to Powderham Castle for the ultimate nostalgia trip, with a line-up that includes UB40, The Boomtown Rats, Sister Sledge and Jason Donavon. 80s fancy dress is encouraged!

ARE WE NEARLY THERE YET? A HISTORY OF TRANSPORT
Explore the ways people have moved through spaces, venturing across centuries and continents – from the grind of the daily commute to once-in-a-lifetime journeys across the globe, human ingenuity has found a way to travel by land, air and water. Unique objects on display include a sled from Captain Scott’s ill-fated 1911-12 expedition to the Antarctic.

The family friendly programme of events will feature film screenings, an acoustic day rave, soup making, open mic sessions, drop-in crafts, treasure hunts, stalls, panel discussions and workshops - all in the name of inspiring the community to take action towards a sustainable future.

JAZZ ON THE QUAY
Grab a pint/ cuppa/ ice cream and enjoy a fun, free afternoon of music at the Transit Shed down on the Quay every Sunday from now until the 25 August (apart from the 28 July). Acts include Riviera Ramblers on 30 June, Hothouse Combo on 7 and 21 July, and La Vie en Rose Gypsy Jazz on 14 July. The bands play from around 12.30-3.30pm each Sunday.
