Return of Art in the Barn marks start of spring in Torbay

The Torbay Guild of Artists will return to the Spanish Barn at Torre Abbey next month for its 2026 Spring ‘Art in The Barn’ Exhibition.

Set within the historic surroundings of Torre Abbey, the exhibition has become a highlight of the early spring calendar, offering visitors the chance to welcome the new season surrounded by Torbay’s vibrant creative community.

Featuring work from talented Guild members, the exhibition will showcase a wide range of original paintings, prints, ceramics and glassware, alongside artisan gift cards. With more than 100 members, the Guild continues to play an important role in fostering and promoting high-quality artwork across the region.

Established in 1967 by a group of local artists, including members of the Royal Academy, the Torbay Guild of Artists remains a cornerstone of the Bay’s cultural scene.

Visitors can also make a day of it, with the Spanish Barn just a short walk from Cantina Torquay café and restaurant in Abbey Park.

The exhibition runs from 14 to 29 March, open daily from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free and dogs are welcome.
