2025 has been full of drama, emotion and jubilation across the sporting clubs of Torbay over the past 12 months.
Torquay United have been at the forefront of this rollercoaster, coming so close to automatic promotion in the spring before eventually falling short in the play-offs, although hopes are high for another push over the opening months of 2026.
Brixham AFC achieved a miraculous promotion from the Premier League and even managed to beat TUFC in the Devon Bowl, but there was heartbreak for Brixham Rugby Club, missing out on promotion to the National League in an epic tussle with Barnstaple.
From the hazy days of a cricketing summer and the rolling fairways of our local golf courses to gruelling runs over the hills of Torbay and epic encounters on the water, it has been a spectacular 2025, and we look back on the year with a selection of sporting images.
